MERCY

"Thou, O Lord, will not withhold Thy compassion from me; Thy lovingkindness and Thy truth will continually preserve me.  For evils beyond number have surrounded me; My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to see; they are more numerous than the hairs of my head; and my heart has failed me.  Be pleased, O Lord to deliver me; make haste, O Lord to help me."  Psalm 40:11-13

[Jesus teaching:] "'Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee stood and was praying thus to himself, 'God, I thank Thee that I am not like other people; swindlers, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax-gatherer.  I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.'

But the tax gatherer, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast saying, 'God, be merciful to me, the sinner!'  I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other, for everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled, but he who humbles himself shall be exalted.'"  Luke 18:13-14

Sometimes it is so humbling to imagine just how much God loves us and the deep compassion and patience He has for His creation.  But His mercy, as well as His judgment, supports us through our every day.  Enjoy the challenges of this new week with the Father as your guide.

NOTE:  40-Day Prayer & Fasting Group:  For this week if you're participating in the fast (or not) please pray for the spiritual awakening of the lost in the countries of Asia and the Pacific -- that God would prepare their hearts and draw them to a personal relationship with Christ.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who still prays for you each morning. Darlene

Now declared a Pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO).  Please pray for the health care workers, those trying to contain the spread and most importantly those who contract the virus – that they are wise and take precautions to protect others.  Latest Update:
·        Today in 121 countries
·        125,599 confirmed cases
·        5,918 critical condition
·        4,605 reported deaths
  • Scott getting married March 26th, they will be a blended and Blessed couple.  Thank you for praying all these years for him and his children.
  • Baby Jolie– a year old, struggling to recover from meningitis and kidney failure.  Still in hospital.  Her leg wound remains a concern and amputation is still a possibility.  She is responding and VERY SLOWLY getting better.  Many hurdles have been crossed with prayer and great Doctors.  There are several more to cross before she can go home where she will need full-time nursing care.  Hopefully, she will be home soon.  Praise the Lord.  Family so grateful for all your prayers.
  • Savannah – has a very long road to travel.  The 15-year-old granddaughter of Cliff and Beth, diagnosed with a difficult-to-treat, psychological disorder with potential serious consequences.  New meds seem to be helping.  She is showing progress with this brain injury.  Pray for her attitude, wisdom for her health carers, patience for her parents and complete healing.
  • USA President Donald Trump – It is our responsibility as Christians to remember God has a plan through this man.  If you doubt the importance of his appointment, just look at how much antagonism there is against him.  Surely Satan is NOT happy and means to thwart God’s plan.  Pray someone helps President Trump understand the true meaning of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, that he will have a driving hunger to read God’s Word for himself and that God sends a Bible-believing Christian to regularly disciple him in the Truth and that God shuts the mouths of the false prophets who circle around him.
  • Fred – is making plans to move from California to Tennessee in the first quarter of 2020.  Pray for his wise attention to detail, stamina and roaring good health as he makes these life changes.
  • Tracey – Pray Tracey finds a new role to satisfy her and allow her to grow and share her skills and wisdom.
  • Me – New project began well.  Thank you for praying (ends 9 April).  Laptop due back this week, hopefully.

PRAY FOR THOSE IN FULL-TIME SERVICE
