Think About It!

[Jesus teaching] “’Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened.

“’Or what man is there among you, when his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone?  Or if he shall ask for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?

“’If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father, who is in heaven, give what is good to those who ask Him!’” Matthew 7:7-11

The intentions and thoughts in our hearts are evil (Jeremiah 17:9), even though we wish it were not true.  Yet even we understand what Jesus was teaching here...that we do want to do the right thing, especially for those we love (Romans 7 tells us this clearly).

When we approach the Throne of Grace, the Father asks us to come boldly and to ask of Him...not in an arrogant way, believing He owes anything to us, but humbly, knowing He is working out every “yes” and “no” for our good.  That is just amazing!

“Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
