Looking Back

“For all things are for your sakes, that the grace which is spreading to more and more people may cause the giving of thanks to abound to the glory of God.

Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.  For the momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” II Corinthians 4:15-18

I just wrote an article for someone about seeing around corners and how the past doesn’t count except for learning how to wander through the present for the future...and when I looked for Scripture to substantiate this concept, it is apparent that our past is for a reason.  But it is the hope of glory that is our future and the momentary, light affliction of today or yesterday makes it all worth it.

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
