How To Increase Faith

“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

“Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the Word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things were so.  Many of them therefore believed, along with a number of prominent Greek women and men.” Acts 17:11-12

“All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” II Timothy 3:16-17

“So shall My Word be which goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11

“”Faith grows by getting to know God. – The point is that it is through exposure to the Word of God that Christ is revealed to us, and as Christ is revealed to us we gain a greater understanding and confidence in Him, and so are able to trust and exercise faith in Him more readily.

“This then is the prime reason for reading the Bible – that we might know Christ better.  Only as we get to know Christ better do we find it easy to trust Him, and the more we get to know Him, the more logical and inevitable it becomes that we trust Him.”*

At nine years old, I got my first Bible and began reading it (it was, after all, just a book to me).  After ten years of reading and studying and memorising and trying to understand it without the benefit of church, I realised the reality of the relationship and jumped into the arms of my risen Saviour, Jesus Christ.  The Word opened my heart and offered me a love I could not imagine -- my life has never been the same since!  And even when it is difficult, I am never alone!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene

*Christ For Real by Charles Price

Just published a new Kindle called “Genesis & Discrimination”.  It is a very powerful collection I have been surprised at as I edited it again.  So now there are four Amazon Kindle books in the WeakDay Devotions series:  Secrets of a Deeper Life in Christ , A Missing Psalm, Forgiveness.  I hope putting these together in this new format will be a blessing to many more & will help support this ministry.
