Combination

“’You hypocrites, rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, ‘This people honours Me with their lips, but their heart is far away from Me.   But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’” Matthew 15:8

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

“But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man shall be blessed in what he does.” James 1:26

“Obedience to the commands of the Lord Jesus Christ, without a corresponding trust in Him for the strength and ability those commands require will lead only to frustration and temptations to hypocrisy.  If we take the teaching and commands of Jesus seriously without an understanding of His own role in their fulfilment we can only be discouraged!”*

“Make me to hear joy and gladness.  Let the bones which Thou has broken rejoice.  Hide Thy face from my sins, and blot all my iniquities.  Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.  Do not cast me away from Thy presence, and do not take Thy Holy Spirit from me.  Restore to me the joy of Thy salvation, and sustain me with a willing spirit.  Then I will teach transgressors Thy ways, and sinners will be converted to Thee.” 8-13 Psalm 51:10

I couldn’t say it better than that...

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
