“And they came to Him, and
awoke Him, saying, ‘Save us, Lord; we are perishing!” And he said to them, ‘Why are you timid, you
men of little faith?’ Then He arose, and
rebuked the winds and the sea and it became perfectly calm.” Matthew 8:23-26
“’Come to Me, all who are weary
and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in
heart; and you shall find rest for your souls.
For My yoke is easy, and My load is light.’” Matthew 11:28-30
“The
peace of God does not mean our removal from difficulties, but is to be our
experience WITHIN them, like the Lord Jesus Christ asleep on a cushion in the
boat, with His disciples when a ‘furious storm came up on the lake, so that the
waves swept over the boat.”*
Before
I went to visit and sail on the Sea of Galilee, I always thought of it as a
rather large pond or a little lake. It
is huge; and Jesus’ disciples would have known a bad storm was on the way, yet
they followed Him into that boat and set out as He wished into the middle of a
storm they would have preferred to avoid...yet when they feared the most and
finally sought His help, it was an easy thing for Jesus to manage for them.
Sometimes
you go through so much unnecessary pain, stress and heartache before you call
out to Him. He always is watching and
waiting for you. He knows the plans He
has for you...to prosper you and not to hurt you...you just forget
sometimes...well I do anyway.

Cucuawe as he prepares for a 10-day mission trip this month. For Ricki, whose first grandchild was born prematurely at 29 wks. Sat.
night. The little girl weighs 3 lbs. 10
oz. Her parents are Tyler & Jenna and
they live in Indianapolis. Please pray for God's Will in this situation and
strength for all the challenges ahead for all involved.
PRAISE
& THANKSGIVING: Hans needs clarity
right now and hope. (Thank you, Andy, so
much for answering his letter!) Deborah’s
husband is home from surgery. Adrian is
doing better in his attitude but is still in much pain. If anyone is near Caboolture (an hour north
of Brisbane), please contact me so we can help Adrian in a more practical
way!
That
the Lord loves and comforts us through challenges we could not face without Him
and for good friends during times of difficulty.
PRAY
FOR THOSE WITH HEALTH CONCERNS: For Daniel Craver (3-4 yrs
old), home recovering from liver surgery. Paul
NS. Tim (my little brother) with CPRD, needs
financial help, especially with no health insurance - needs a disability
pension. David still needs prayer for
his health, but is doing better. Steve
Barns for relief from great pain and depression.
For
a solution for Audley and Beverly (she’s disabled from a stroke and needs a carer
during the day so Audley can go out and work).
Tim B with headaches, that his doctor will OK a new procedure for
relief. For Carlton suffering from
horrible infections in his bones.

dramatically apparent in the lives of all who receive and read this
devotion...that His mighty works would be worked out in each life for His

ended and they need new work. (Hans especially
needs paying work – he’s been volunteering to fill the time.) For Tim, my amazing brother that he might
