No fool

“And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.  If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from ALL sin.

“If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.   If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.   If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.”  I John 1:5-10

“Interestingly the devil does not condemn us whilst outside of Christ.  He doesn’t need to, for he specialises in lies, and outside of Christ sin is condemned and there is no forgiveness.  In any case, it would be counter-productive to create a conscience in people who have been content to live with their sin.  It might make them look for forgiveness.  But the moment we come to Christ and are forgiven, Satan’s deceitful nature is to dig up what God has buried, and use it as ammunition to condemn us and to destroy our freedom and joy in being forgiven.”*

Satin is no fool, although sometimes I believe he wants us to imagine he is.  He is so clever he will use anything at all that he can find to accuse and condemn us so he can distract and derail us from our purpose of our new life in Christ.  And he can be so subtle we sometimes need to stop and take stock!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
