Guilt Strategy, Part 2

“And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.  If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.” I John 1:5-7

“The other way is to face up to guilt as a reality, accept responsibility for it and cope with it from a position of responsibility.  From a Christian point of view, having taken the second way, accepting responsibility for our guilt leads to us confessing it and receiving forgiveness.”*

Remember when you were a kid and you may have broken something, and your parents asked “who did it?” and you had to make a choice to confess or be found out (cause parents always seem to find out if you do not confess!).  Do you remember the first time you confessed (or a significant time)?  It was not to receive punishment that you confess, but to receive forgiveness and sometimes learn a lesson from that situation.  God loves us far more than a parent!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
