His Will: Goodness

“Thus you shall say to Joseph, ‘Please forgive, I beg you, the transgression of your brothers, and their sin, for they did you wrong.’  And now, please forgive the transgression of the servants of the God of your father.’  And Joseph wept when they spoke to him.  Then his brothers also came and fell down before him and said, ‘Behold, we are your servants.’  But Joseph said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for am I in God’s place?  And as for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.”  Genesis 50:18-20

“By doing good, even in the face of injustice and foolishness, we are fulfilling the will of God. – If we are not prepared to live good lives where it is costly to do so, we are stepping out of the will of God.”*

The Bible is full of stories of regular people, doing extraordinary things, experiencing unimaginable events to help us learn how important it is to trust God; the greatest of these is the story of Jesus, who offered His life as a sacrifice just for you.  His desire is that we act on these lessons and demonstrate goodness in the face of evil!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
