Once Seen

“The woman said to Him, ‘I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us.’  Jesus said to her, ‘I who speak to you am He.’  And at this point His disciples came, and they marvelled that He had been speaking with a woman; yet no one said, ‘What do You seek?’ or, ‘Why do You speak with her?’  So the woman left her waterpot, and went into the city, and said to the men, ‘Come see a man who told me all the things that I have done; this is not the Christ, is it.?’” John 4:25-29

“But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:21-23

“It is only as people become conscious of Jesus Christ that they are able to recognise their own need.  It is only as we see the ‘glory of God’ in the life of Jesus Christ that we see our own need in its true perspective and recognise that we have ‘fallen short of the glory of God’.

Remember the day – the moment you “saw” the Truth of Christ’s righteousness for yourself!?  Sometimes going back to that pivotal moment and thinking about how different your heart is – not necessarily your circumstances – but that there is strength within you that is as unexplainable as the peace that also took up residence in your heart on that day!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
