His view

“And God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. – And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.  Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, ‘Where are you?’  And he said, ‘I heard the sound of Thee in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself.’” Genesis 1:31, 3:8-10

“’O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her!  How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.’” Matthew 23:37

Ford Madox Ford wrote in The Good Soldier this aching question:  “’Is there then any terrestrial paradise where amidst the whispering of the olive leaves people can be with whom they live and have what they like and take their ease in shadows and in coolness, or are all men’s lives...broken, tumultuous, agonised by screams, by imbecilities, by deaths, by agonies?’”*

When we think of the intricate and perfect plan that God devised to ensure that we had the potential of hope, I could not imagine His sadness and His disappointment.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
