Sleeping Giant

“Then the Lord awoke as if from sleep, like a warrior overcome by wine. And He drove His adversaries backward; He put on them an everlasting reproach. He also rejected the tent of Joseph, and did not choose the tribe of Ephraim, but choose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion which He loved. And He built His sanctuary like the heights, like the earth which He has founded forever. He also chose David His servant, and took him from the sheepfolds; from the care of the ewes with suckling lambs He brought him, to shepherd Jacob His people. So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them with his skillful hands.” Psalm 78:65-72

What a picture the world has of our Lord – as if He is asleep from too much wine. But God does not sleep; He watches (and I’m sure He weeps for what He knows must happen before the end He is orchestrating) and hopes in you and me to keep reminding others in whatever way He has shown us to share that there is hope and love; that there will be a last day and judgment. This is our responsibility you know. What a privilege to be His! Enjoy your weekend.

Run to God's Word. Take care. Your servant & friend in Christ, Darlene
