By Apologia Studios (9 min 8 sec)
“’For this says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, ‘Do
not let your prophets who are in your midst and your diviners deceive you, and
do not listen to the dreams which they dream.
For thus says the Lord, ‘When seventy years have been completed for
Babylon, I will visit you and fulfil My good word to you, to bring you back to
this place.
“’’For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares
the Lord, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a
hope. Then you will call upon Me and
come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
“’’You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me
with all your heart. I will be found by
you,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will bring you back to the place from where I
sent you into exile.’’” Jeremiah 29:4-14
Assignment
1. Set
aside an hour and find a place where you can focus and not be interrupted.
2. Bring
your Bible, notebook, a way to watch the video, something to write with and a
refreshment.
3. Settle
in and pray the Lord will use the assignment to help you better appreciate the Source
of truth.
4. Open
your notebook to a fresh page and date it, watch the video above and write
notes that assures you that you can trust the promises in the Bible.
5. Then
read the ten verses above in your Bible.
6. Underline
or circle verses you see are promises God has made to His children and write
them in your notebook.
7. Read
through the passage again. This time
search out the conditions to the promises.
Can you see how important it is to remember that the Truth
can always be relied on when things around you do not make sense? The Truth is that God reaches out to save
those who will believe in the Truth of His Son Jesus Christ, who was born,
lived, died and rose again to save us for eternity. And the truth is others need to hear this
Truth!
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still
prays for you daily)
