Albert Mohler/ Ask Anything Live

By Southern Seminary (8 mins 20 sec)

“He rebukes the sea and makes it dry; He dries up all the rivers.  Bashan and Carmel wither; the blossoms of Lebanon wither.  Mountains quake because of Him and the hills dissolve; indeed the earth is upheaved by His presence, the world and all the inhabitants in it.

“Who can stand before His indignation?  Who can endure the burning of His anger?  His wrath is poured out like fire and the rocks are broken up by Him.

“The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows those who take refuge in Him.  But with an overflowing flood He will make a complete end of its site and will pursue His enemies into darkness.” Nahum 1:4-8

No one on earth can safely defy God, the Almighty, the Creator of all the universe -- God who controls the sun, the galaxies, and the vast stretches beyond.

It is a comic tragedy to watch a world so unaware of God’s sovereignty -- so arrogantly anticipating they know how to ‘fix’ the mess they’ve made of God’s perfect earth or that God is to blame.

“‘Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’” Genesis 1:26

God will be here forever with greater power than that of all armies and nations on earth combined.  And He will always know what is best for those who are His children.

Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still prays for you daily)
