“I have seen the task which God has given the sons of men with which to occupy themselves.  He has made everything appropriate in its time.  He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.

“I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one’s lifetime; moreover, that every man who eats and drinks sees good in all his labour – it is the gift of God.

“I know that everything God does will remain forever; there is nothing to add to it and there is nothing to take from it, for God has so worked that men should fear Him.  That which is has been already, and that which will be has already been, for God seeks what has passed by.” Ecclesiastes 3:10-15

“And we urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with all men.  See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seeks after that which is good for one another and for all men.  Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” I Thessalonians 5:14-18

ONE – Job’s wife summed up the first opinion:  ‘Curse God and die!’  Why hold on to a sentimental believe in a loving God when so much in life conspires together against us!  We can easily overlook the underlying issue of where our primal sense of fairness comes from.  What is it about us that we EXPECT the world to BE fair!  The Lord has a purpose for us and that is to conform us into the image of His beloved Son, and Jesus rarely had it fair!

Take care, your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene (who prays for you each morning.)

Pray for those with ongoing health concerns
