Jesus, Keep Me near the Cross - EPIC version! (In Russian)
“But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love
with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us
alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up
with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, in
order that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace
in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that
not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not as a result of works, that no one
should boast. For we are His
workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand
that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:4-10
DENY – If you just deny something, it will go away. Deny problems. Insist the world DOES run sensibly. There are fixed, regular laws: good people prosper, evil ones fail.
This is why the ‘prosperity gospel’ is so easy to be sucked
into. Who wouldn’t want to believe that
the good guys always win -- that God blesses the good and punishes the bad?
The prosperity gospel wants you to believe that you can confidently
command God and know He will obey! Just believe harder, pray positively and you
will get rich and be healed of all ills.
But God has a plan for each of us -- as beyond our
comprehension as His love is beyond our comprehension. He knows there are lessons we must wander or
struggle through to be strong and ready for the next step in the path for our
good and His glory.
Take care, your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene (who
prays for you each morning.)
