3 Covenants and the Land

“’But you will perish among the nations, and your enemies’ land will consume you.  So those of you who may be left will rot away because of their iniquity in the lands of your enemies and also because of the iniquities of your forefathers they will rot away with them.

“’If they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their forefathers, in their unfaithfulness which they committed against Me, and also in their acting with hostility against Me – I also was acting with hostility against them, to bring them into the land of their enemies – or their uncircumcised heart becomes humbled, so that they then make amends for their iniquity,

“’then I will remember

“’My covenant with Jacob, and I will remember also
“’My covenant with Isaac, and
“’My covenant with Abraham as well,
“’and I will remember the land.’”

Leviticus 26:38-42

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  I John 1:9

God has a plan so complicated, so detailed and so interwoven that no human mind can fathom His greatness.  Part of His plan has been in place since the fall in the Garden of Eden, ‘planting the seed’ for our redemption.

Throughout the Old and New Testament God’s Word offers us so many instances of man’s turning away from God to do what they think is right in their own eyes!  Such a common way of thinking that we can forget His faithful, gracious promises are there for our good … and His glory.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who still prays for you each morning.  Darlene

NEW PRAYER REQUESTS

·        No update yet - Robin age 52, recently diagnosed with breast cancer in her lymph nodes had a lumpectomy last Wednesday.  The doctors report said the lump had good margins and she will find out Thursday about the lymph nodes. Please pray for her and her family during this long process.
·        Paul –Has not had paying work since 2010.  Please pray for his ongoing resilience and that the Lord would allow him to be successful with a role.  I know the Lord is watching over him because of your prayers.  Most of all, pray his heart melts enough for the Truth to touch him where it hurts.  Pray for my wisdom and patience as he continues to stay here.
·        USA – that the Lord would demonstrate His power in an unexpected and uniting way during these times of unrest and confusion.  Help hearts settle and rest in Him alone.
·        Sergio – lost his job and is now looking again.  He was recently diagnosed with adult-onset diabetes.  Was living with his brother, but has been asked to move out, leaving him homeless.
·        Toron – finishing his high school studies needs your prayers for continued strength, focus and confidence, especially with maths.

PRAY FOR THOSE IN FULL-TIME SERVICE
