Your Conviction

“As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew and were not walking with Him anymore.  Jesus said therefore to the twelve, ‘You do not want to go away also, do you?’

“Simon Peter answered Him, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go?  You have words of eternal life.  And we have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God.’”  John 6:66-69

“Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He began asking His disciples, saying, ‘Who do people say that the Son of Man is?’

“And they said, ‘Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but still others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.’  He said to them, ‘But who do YOU say that I am?’” Matthew 16:13-15

I carry around a business-size card (a bit tattered now) that I was given as a new believer.  It has an engraved image of an artist’s idea of what Jesus looks like on it and one simple question:

‘If you were arrested for being a Christian today, would there be enough evidence in your life to convict you?’  Think about it!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who still prays for you each morning.  Darlene

NEW PRAYER REQUESTS?
·        LATEST Update:  Sue FurbeeHusband, Sam - wants to thank everyone who prayed and donated for Sue’s procedure.  They arrived back in Columbus on 6th Dec. from Mexico.  Sue had four stem cell infusions (two on 30 Nov and two 5 Dec).  She’s quite tired.  Doctors advise it may take 3 to 4 months to see improvements.  (Sam thinks she is talking more fluently now.  She feels like she can turn her head more than before).  For more updates and if you would like to contribute, this is their GoFundMe page – (https://www.gofundme.com/sue-furbee )
·        Buddy & Susan Father, You know their needs as they travel home to the States for their first furlough in over 20 years.  Guard their health and provide travelling mercies and the kindness of Your special angels along their journey.  Bless them with the warmth and welcome that only family and real friends provide!
·        Sergio – lost his job and now looking again.  He has just been diagnosed with adult-onset diabetes.  Was living with his brother, but he has asked him to move out, leaving him homeless.
·        Claudio – His condition has improved once more as he continues his battle with liver cancer.  Pray for his health carers to be compassionate and wise and for Elea, his wife, that she has the extra strength and hope to hold his hand through this.
·        Toron – finishing his high school studies and needing strength, focus and confidence, especially with maths.
·        USA – that the Lord would demonstrate His power in an unexpected and uniting way during these times of unrest and confusion.  Help hearts settle and rest on You alone.
