My Paraphrase of Beatitudes

"'Friends, My Father sends Me to help you understand that your sin is preventing you from living a richer, deeper and more meaningful life.  He sends Me to help you understand what the Kingdom of Heaven is about and how attractive it is compared to this world.

"He sends Me to teach you that you are unable to defeat sin in your own power and actions.  Yet, unconfessed sin in your life blocks you from reaching out to the most high and holy Father God.  The world deceives many into thinking they can fix their lives and come to Him, but they can't.  Intentions may be very good, but actions (inward and outward) betray choice to go against His wishes.

"'If you wish to be My disciples and to follow Me, it will not be easy but first you must tell Him you are sorry for your sins and that you want Him to help you overcome temptation.  He will forgive you and comfort you when you fail.

"'Take My hand and walk with me from this day forward.  The closer our, the more your heart strengthens in humility and thankfulness.  Your hunger for the Words of God also grows and changes your life!

"'Beware, however.  Sometimes because you follow Me your family, friends and those in the world may treat you unfairly and harshly.  You may be disadvantaged, accused wrongly, wounded (emotionally and physically) because of your love for Me.

But do not stop showing the world there is something more than just believing in God or nature or money or nothing.  You are no longer alone!  I have overcome all this for you.

"'My prayer right now for you is that you do not lose faith and follow Me openly; that you are always prepared and courageous enough to offer those who ask you for a reason for your decision to be My disciples.'"  Matthew 3:3-13 - my paraphrase of the message of Beatitudes for you today.

Perhaps you might wish to write your own version, too!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene

  • ·        Continue to pray for the special person you identified a few weeks ago in your assignment until they fall into His arms.  Then you can pick another to pray for!
