"Then Moses said to
the Lord, 'Please, Lord, I have never been elequent, neither recently nor in
time past, nor since Thou hast spoken to Thy servant; for I am slow of speech
and slow of tongue.'
"And the Lord said to
him, 'Who has made man's mouth? Or who
makes him dumb or deaf, or seeing or blind?
Is it not I, the Lord? Now then
go, and I, even I, will be with your mouth, and teach you what you are to say.'"
Exodus 4:10-12
"Self-acceptance is basically trusting God for who I am,
disabilities or physical flaws and all.
We need to learn to think like George MacDonald who said, 'I would
rather be what God chose to make me than the most glorious creature that I
could think of; for to have been thought about, born in God's through, and then
made by God, is the dearest, grandest, and most precious thing in all thinking.
[Quoted by J.R. Miller in a printed message, 'Finding One's Mission' (Swengel,
Pa.: Peiner Publications, n.d.), page 2]"*
Worthy, adequate, trained, equipped. We can easily see the best and the worst in
others...we can see the worst in ourselves in comparison. It is good to remember that God deals with
each one of us individually, as He made us, drew us to Him and called to our
hearts to save us.
As we grow in an attitude of thankfulness for how He has
created us, our ministry (whatever that may be for you) grows and matures and
bears fruit.
Take care with love, especially His! Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
