"Who shall separate us
from the love of Christ? Shall
tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or
sword? Just as it is written, 'For Thy
sake we are being put to death all day long; we were considered as sheep to be slaughtered.'
"But in all these
things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor
life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come,
nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able
to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans
8:35-39
"God's unfailing love for us is an objective fact affirmed
over and over in the Scriptures. -- But the EXPERIENCE of that love and the
comfort it is intended to bring is dependent upon our believing the truth about
God's love as it is revealed to us in the Scriptures. doubts about God's love, allowed to harbour
in our hearts, will surely deprive us of the comfort of His love.
The key to doubt is simply spending more time with Him and in
His Word that reminds us over and over of his perfect love for us!
Take care with love, especially His! Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
