"How long, O Lord?
Wilt Thou forget me forever? How
long wilt Thou hide Thy face from me?
How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart all
the day? How long will my enemy be
exalted over me?
"Consider and answer me, O Lord, my God; enlighten my
eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death, lest my enemy say, 'I have overcome
him,' Lest my adversaries rejoice when I am shaken.
"But I have trusted in Thy lovingkindness; my heart shall
rejoice in Thy salvation. I will sing to
the Lord, because He has dealt bountfully with me." Psalm 13
"We will almost always struggle with doubts about God's
love during out times of adversity. If
we never had to struggle, our faith would not grow. But we must engage in the struggle with our
doubts; we must not let them overwhelm us.
During seemingly intolerable times, we may feel like David"*
Have you ever used the expression, "under the
circumstances" to describe how you are?
Example, "Well, under the circumstances, I guess I am doing
alright"? Focusing on the
"circumstances" always leads to dissatisfaction and is like a fog around
us. Keeping our vision clear of the Lord
allows us to trust in what we KNOW about His love and provision!
Take care with love, especially His! Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
Please pray for Jeff (and Rachael), who was the most amazing leader I've ever followed and learned from. He has just had cataract surgery and it does not YET seem to have worked.
