Sin Foundations - Favouritism

"Now Israel loved Joseph more than all his sons, because he was the som of his old age; and he made him a varicoloured tunic.  And his brothers saw that their father loved him more than all his brothers; and so they hated him and could not speak to him on friendly terms."  Genesis 37:3-4

Once we are old enough to reason that one thing is more appealing and better we begin to slip down the slippery slope of favouritism and discrimination.  Poor Joseph would not have had the strength to resist or the sophistication to understand the extra focus his father had on him and would have simply enjoyed and welcomed the care and attention he was given.

"For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."  Genesis 3:5

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
