"And he
said, 'I am looking for my brothers; please tell me where they are pasturing
the flock.' Then the man said, 'They
have moved from here; for I heard them say, 'Let us go to Dothan.'' So Joseph went after his brothers and found
them at Dothan. When they saw him from a
distance and before he came close to them, they plotted against him to put him
to death."
Genesis 37:16-18
Jealousy
is a wicked master and darkens the heart of all of us at sometime. Here the brothers leveraged their hatred into
the most dire of acts. How can we guard
our hearts against this. By filling our
hearts with Scripture, in reading, memorising and meditating upon.
"And do
not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of
redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath
and anger and clamour and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender-hearted,
forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you." Ephesians 4:30-32
Take
care with love, especially His! Your
servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
