Anyone Available?

“And Jesus was going about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness.

“And seeing the multitudes He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and downcast like sheep without a shepherd.

"Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.  Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.’” Matthew 9:35-38

“I have heard it suggested more than once, that if a Christian does not take advantage of the opportunities God gives him to serve, that he will send someone else along instead.  I am not at al sure about that.  I do not think that God has lots of Christians waiting on the sidelines to step into the place of disobedient Christians.”*

God doesn’t need you to obey and serve, He longs for you to obey and serve.  In service is an outward demonstration of an inward change in heart attitude.  In service is sacrifice of self and an active embracing of the Father’s vision as our own.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
