YouTube: FORGIVE –
two different words, but what do they mean?
Mark 11:25-26 and Ephesians 4:32
By: Encouraging words from the Bible (6 min 14 sec)
[Jesus teaching] “’Whenever you stand praying, forgive,
if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will
also forgive you your transgressions.
But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven
forgive your transgressions.’” Mark
11:25-26 (NASB)
·
Promise:
Our heavenly Father will forgive your transgressions.
·
Condition: You must forgive those you have something
against.
Has anyone ever hurt your feelings, hurt you physically, stolen
from you or refused to speak with you, etc.?
Have you ever been angry with someone, held a grudge, felt bitter or
wished someone ill for the way they treated you?
You are not alone. It
is just one reason God had to send His beloved and only Son to live die and rise
again to save us, because it is so easy for us to slip into self-centred sin.
Sin is as simple as being angry with someone (Matthew 6:21-24)
and results in a broken relationship with our loving and patient Father. Until it is dealt with our prayers are hindered.
What can we do? Use the ‘Spiritual Soap’ God has provided for us:
I John 1:8-10!
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still
prays for you daily)
