Don Moen (Lyrics) By IWORSHIP YOU LORD (5 mins)

“’All this,’ said David, ‘the Lord made me understand by His hand upon me, all the details of this pattern.’  Then David said to his son, Solomon, ‘Be strong and courageous, and act; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God, my God, is with you, He will not fail you nor forsake you until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished.

“’Now behold, there are divisions of the priests and the Levites for all the service of the house of God, and every willing man of any skill will be with you in all the work for all kinds of service.  The officials also and all the people will be entirely at your command.’” I Chronicles 28:20

David was looking back over his life and found joy and hope in this son of his sinful behaviour with Bathsheba - somehow God’s choice!  In his blessing, he reminded Solomon of the greatness of the Lord and that His promise was to be with him as he carried out his part in God’s mission to restore man to Him.

We never know where we may be in the ‘chain of eternal events’ and how our willingness to put God first in our daily lives will serve His purposes.  But we can always know that all that is happening around us is for our good and for His glory.  How neat is that!

Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still prays for you daily)

Pray for those in full-time service

Pray the Lord uphold our Christian leaders – that they never compromise God’s Word and remain bold and courageous in the face of evil.  Pray for their wisdom, safety, ingenuity, strength and for their families.

Pray for those with ongoing health concerns

Many of us have family, friends and loved ones with fragile health.  Pray God takes special care with them and protects them in practical ways and that the Lord will have mercy on them during this challenging time.

Pray for the World
