By Jonny Ardavanis
“Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the
mountain which Jesus had designated. And
when they saw Him, they worshipped Him; but some doubted that it was really
He. Jesus came up and said to them, ‘All
authority, all power of absolute rule in heaven and on earth has been given to
Me.
“’Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,
help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words, baptising
them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching
them to observe everything that I have commanded you;’ and lo, I am with you always,
remaining with you perpetually – regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion,
even to the end of the age.’” Matthew 28:16-20
We all have a story.
What we often forget is that our individual sharing of our personal experience
to the Lordship of Christ (our testimony), is one of the most powerful witnessing
tool we have.
To share just who we are and what we have gone through in
our journey to choose Jesus Christ as our Advocate and Saviour moves others far
better than any set methodology, tract or training we have gone through.
With that in mind, for the next few WeakEnd Assignments, you
will find some videos that share the testimony of other believers. My hope and prayer is that they open and strengthen
your own journey.
For this WeakEnd Assignment – Grant Horner:
1. Find
an hour and a place where you can focus without being interrupted.
2. Have
a way to watch the video above.
3. Bring
your Bible, notebook, something to write with and a refreshment.
4. Quiet
your heart and pray that the Lord will help you see His message for you and
your growth in better understanding Him through the video.
5. Open
your notebook and write the date at the top of a fresh page.
6. Listen
to the video, make notes of memorable details that touch your heart as you
listen and answer these questions:
7. What
key points did you hear about Grant’s journey?
8. Did
you find his story appealing? If so,
why?
9. Is
there anyone you know you can share this video with who may his story
interesting?
10.
Write their name in your notebook and add their
name to your prayer list.
11.
Begin to pray for them each day and remember to
check up on them occasionally to see if they listened to the video and have any
questions about what they heard.
12.
It may be an opportunity to share your own journey
with them.
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still
prays for you each day)

there is an android ‘Google
