worship song by Sarah Begaj
“Even from eternity I am He, and there is no one who can
rescue from My hand; I act, and who can revoke or reverse it?’ Isaiah 43:13
[Paul writing] “ …for He delivered us and saved us and
called us with a holy calling – a calling that leads to a consecrated life – a life
set apart – a life of purpose, not because of our works or because of any
personal merit – we could do nothing to earn this, but because of His own purpose
and grace – His amazing, undeserved favour which was granted to us in Christ
Jesus before the world began, eternal ages ago,
“ …but now that extraordinary purpose and grace has been
fully disclosed and realised by us through the appearing of our Saviour Christ
Jesus who, through His incarnation and earthly ministry, abolished death making it
null and void and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, for
which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle and a teacher of this good news
regarding salvation.
“This is why I suffer as I do. Still, I am not ashamed; for I know Him and I
am personally acquainted with Him whom I have believed with absolute trust and
confidence in Him and in the truth of His deity, and I am persuaded beyond any
doubt that He is able to guard that which I have entrusted to Him until that
day when I stand before Him.” II Timothy 1:9-12
[Jesus speaking] “’And I GIVE them eternal life, and they
will NEVER, EVER, by ANY means, perish; and NO ONE will EVER snatch them out of
My hand. My Father, who has given them
to Me, is greater and mightier than all and NO ONE is able to snatch them out
of the Father’s hand. I and the Father
are One in essence and nature.’” John 10:28-30 (emphasis mine) All quotes
from the Amplified Bible
“Too often our feelings are influenced by our environment or our health or happenings, but our salvation is based solely upon a Saviour who is able to keep you forever.[1]”
It is easy to wonder how much, how long, how far, how high,
how low you have to go to look around and feel that God has abandoned you. The fact of the Truth is, that He is the One
doing the holding, not you and even when you pull your hand away from His, He enfolds
you in His arms to hold you sealed for eternity.
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still
prays for you each day)
