“At that time Jesus answered and said, ‘I praise Thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou didst hide these things from the wise and intelligent and didst reveal them to babes.  Yes, Father, for thus it was well-pleasing in Thy sight.

“’All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son, except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father, except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

“’Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble to heart; and you shall find rest for your souls, for My yoke is easy, and My load is light.’” Matthew 11:25-30

Yesterday was ‘RU-OK?’ Day in Australia – a reminder that all this separation and social distancing is having more challenges than people growing physically ill.  People are lonely and afraid and unsure, confused and a little lost with what the future holds instore for them.

Find your Bible, your spiritual notebook and writing implement, an uninterrupted hour and a quiet place.  Read Proverbs 17.

Your WeakEnd Assignment is to identify two people (they could be family, friends or new acquaintances).  Keep the wisdom of Proverbs 17 in mind and write their name – one to a page.  Write a bit about them and how God has used them in your life.  Perhaps even writing out one of two of the verses from the Proverb for each one.

Then listen to this song before you
go to the next part of the WeakEnd Assignment.

Spend time praying for each one and write down any new insights you remember about them as you pray.

Then take time to either write them a little note and mail it to them.  If you can’t find a stamp, then an email will do … or give them a call.  Let them know that in this busy, crazy world that they are not forgotten and that they are cared about.

Take care, your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene (who prays for you each morning).

PS:  IMPORTANT:  For those who subscribe by email, my email server is not loading properly.  I will have to work on it over the weekend.  Until then, the devotions will be posted here.

PPS:  My statement of faith:  https://especiallyhislove.blogspot.com  (also you will find a series of beginner Bible studies there.). Also, you can find the WeakDay Devotion online by doing a Google search for ‘WeakDay Devotion’.  (Also, there is an android ‘Goggle Blogger’ app you can download to read them on your phone.)

·        USA President Donald Trump – As Christians it is our responsibility to pray for our leaders and know that God has a plan for the USA through this man.  If you doubt the importance of his appointment, just look at the baseless antagonism against him. Surely Satan is NOT happy and means to thwart God’s plan.  Pray someone helps President Trump and Melania to understand the true meaning of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  Pray they will both have an insatiable hunger to read God’s Word for themselves.  Pray God sends a Bible-Believing Christian to regularly disciple them in the Truth.  Pray God shuts the mouths of the false prophets who regularly circle around them.

Pray for those with ongoing health concerns

Many of us have family, friends and loved ones who are fragile health wise.  It is important to protect them in practical ways and most important we must pray even more for them that the Lord will have mercy on them during this challenging time.

Pray for the World
