Two "Secret Weapons" And...

Our Sins ARE covered by His amazing love
and forgiveness.  This video is a little difficult to hear,
but well worth the effort, every day,
but especially for this precious week!

"And the voice which I heard from heaven, I heard again speaking with me, and saying, 'Go take the book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and the land.'

"And I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little book.  And he  said to me, 'Take it, and eat it; and it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey.'

"And I took the little book out of the angel's hand and ate it, and it was in my mouth sweet as honey; and when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter.  And they said to me, 'You must prophesy again concerning many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.'" Revelation 10:8-11

"Then He said to me, 'Son of man, eat what you find; eat this scroll, and go speak to the house of Israel.  So I opened my mouth, and He fed me this scroll.  And He said to me, 'Son of man, feed your stomach, and fill your body with this scroll which I am giving you.'  Then I ate it and it was sweet as honey in my mouth." Ezekiel 3:1-3

People sometimes read the Bible at special religious holidays and forget that God's Word is living and active and meant to guide our lives every day and in every conscious act we make.

Jesus plan was to pay the price for our sins and offer us as the free gift of eternal life.  He also planned that all would come to know His Father through His sacrifice.  He left behind only two "secret weapon" - His Word and His believers who are to spread the Good News.

And yet when we read it (we likely skip over boring bits and hard words and names and try not to overdo by reading too much) it seems pleasant enough, but sometimes convicts us of our willfulness.

This is where the "bitter" comes in.  None of us want to think of changing our lives, our thinking, words or resolve, yet this is why we do read and study and meditate on God's Word.

Why bother?  Because the lost are looking for those who demonstrate changed lives of compassion and care for others..  This is also why I try to always include ample words from the Bible in the devotions to guide and challenge us each day.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene
