Lucado's "7:47 Principle"

"'For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little.'" Luke 7:47

"We love, because He first loved us." 1 John 4:19

"She drinks until the mercy flows down her chin and onto her neck and chest.  She drinks until every inch of her soul is moist and soft.  She comes thirsty and she drinks.  She drinks deeply.

"Simon on the other hand, doesn't even know he is thirsty.  People like Simon don't need grace; they analyse it.  They don't request mercy; they debate and prorate it.  It wasn't that Simon couldn't be forgiven; he just never asked to be."*

Make some time right now, if possible, to imagine yourself as Nicodemus (John 3 discussion with Jesus).  Close your eyes and "put on his sandals".  Then open your eyes.  Imagine yourself standing and facing Jesus.  Jesus is never described, as to His physical appearance, but we all have an image of Him in our minds.

Now hear His voice and watch Him as He shares these words with you personally:

"'For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.

He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.'" John 3:16-18

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene
