"For
this reason, I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven
and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches
of His glory to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man;
"so
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith and that you, being rooted
and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the
breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which
surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of
God." Ephesians 3:14-19
"Beloved, if God so loved us, we also
ought to love one another. No one has
beheld God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love
is perfected in us. By this we know that
we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.
"And
we have beheld and bear witness that the Father has sent the Son to be the
Saviour of the world. Whoever confesses
that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have come to know and have believed
the love which God has for us.
"God
is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in
him. By this, love is perfected with us,
that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also
are we in this world." I John 4:11-16
"The secret to loving is living
loved. This is the forgotten first step
in relationships. -- Many people tell us to love. Only God gives us the power to do so."*
Some of us are geared to give love
away. Some want to keep it all to
themselves. Some want desperately to BE
loved. Some feel so unlovable they hide
away so no one even tries.
Yet God saw you before you were born and decided,
that YES, He would love you! He would
draw you to His beloved Son. And His Son? Well He would chose to die for you rather
than live without you.
Now that IS the secret to loving...just
knowing that Jesus knew you were and ARE worthy enough to die for!
What is amazing to me is that He does this
even though He knows all and sees all; and that includes everything hidden behind
closed doors and hidden in our hearts.
Take care with love, especially His! Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays
for you each morning, Darlene
