"'For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither
are your ways My ways,' declares the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than
your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.
"'For as the rain and the snow come down from
heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth, and making it bear
and sprout, and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so shall
My Word be which goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me empty,
without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding fin the matter for
which I sent it.'" Isaiah
55:8-11
"But though we should
never ask a demanding 'why?' we may and should ask God to enable us to
understand what He may be teaching us through a particular experience. But even here we must be careful that we are
not seeking to satisfy our souls by finding some spiritual 'good'' in the
adversity.
"Rather we must trust
God that He IS working in the experience for our good, even when we see no
beneficial results. We must learn to
trust God when He doesn't tell us why, when we don't understand what He is
doing."*
God has plans for us and
for those around us. Sometimes it seems
nothing is going right anywhere around us, but in all that whirlwind, God is
speaking softly to us in His Word...asking "Why?' is part of our
nature. Trusting God no matter takes
determination and choice.
Take care with love, especially
His! Your servant and friend in Christ,
Darlene
