God's Sovereignty Over Our Failures & Fears

"And Hathach came back and related Moredecai's words to Esther.  Then Esther spoke to Hatacch and ordered him to reply to Moredecai:  'All the king's servants and the people of the king's provinces know that for any man or woman who comes to the king to the inner court who is not summoned,

"'he has but one law, that he be put to death, unless the king holds out to him the golden scepter so that he may live.  And I have not been summoned to come to the king for these thirty days.'

"And they related Esther's words to Mordecai.  Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, 'Do not imagine that you in the king's palace can escape any more than all the Jews.

"For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father's house will perish.  And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?'" Esther 4:9-14

"Does failure on our part to act prudently frustrate the sovereign plan of God?  The Scriptures never indicate that God is frustrated to any degree by our failure to act as we should.  In His infinite wisdom, God's sovereign plan includes our failures and even our sins."*

God desires your obedience, but He does not require your obedience.  Your desire to be obedient must come from your heart...and the more your heart is filled with His Word, the easier obedience becomes --because His Word tells you of His love...a love so amazing He chose to die for your sins, rather than live without you!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene

URGENT PRAYER REQUESTIsaias has written:  "I would like to solicit your prayers in behalf of my Dad, 84 years old, who is ailing and suffering from pain.  He stays at home waiting for God's intervention. Please pray with us that God will take him home without suffering terribly. Our only sister Tita is the one nursing him with some assistance from my brothers."

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST:  from Patti:  "13 yr. old, Heath Harris, in hospital with bacterial meningitis streptococcus intermedius (extremely serious).  Not correctly diagnosed until June 22.  Has had symptoms since June 8! Five different times the Dr. diagnosed him with just a virus, but finally when he couldn't walk, a different ER Dr. did tests and a spinal tap and found it was bacterial meningitis and sent him to Akron.

"They found 12 lesions on his brain, a lump on his spine. At some point, he was sent home on IV antibiotics.  He has undergone one surgery on his spine, and recently through a chest X-ray, they discovered a walnut-sized lump behind his heart, so his will have another surgery tomorrow, July 4th at 9 AM!

"Heath trusts Jesus, as well. His grandma knows it is in the Lord's hands, and prayed for a miracle, but doesn't think that may be God's Will. I think it can still happen! Please pray for all involved. Thanks so much!!"
