Five Options - Four

“- for though the twins were not yet born, and had not done anything good or bad, in order that God’s purpose according to His choice might stand, not because of works but because of Him who calls.

“What shall we say then? There is no injustice with God, is there? May it never be! For He says to Moses, ‘I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.’ So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy. For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, ‘For this very purpose I raised you up, to demonstrate My power in you, and that My name might be proclaimed through the whole earth.’” Romans 9:11-12, 14-17

“A fourth approach is to flatly deny the problem and insist the world is fair. Echoing Job’s friends, these people insist the world does run according to fixed, regular laws: good people will prosper and evil ones will fail.

“It takes an Olympian leap of faith to argue that life is completely fair. More commonly, Christians respond to life’s unfairness not by denying it outright, but by watering it down. They, like Job’s friends, search for some hidden reason behind suffering.”*

What we do know is we don’t/can’t know God’s plan in every detail, but we can know Him enough to believe Him...it is our choice, moment-by-moment and for our life time walk with Him.

Take care with love, especially His! Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
