Does It Matter?

“Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.’ And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He crated them. And God blessed them; and God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’ – And God saw all that He had made and behold, it was very good.” Genesis 1:26-28a, 31a

The Wager: “Then Satan answered the Lord, ‘Does Job fear God for nothing? Hast Thou not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But put forth Thy hand now and touch all that he has; he will surely curse Thee to Thy face.’” Job 1:9-11

“As I studied Job, it struck me that The Wager was at the heart, a stark re-enactment of God’s original question in creation: Will the humans choose for or against Me? From God’s point of view that HAS been the central question of history, beginning with Adam and continuing on through Job and every man and woman who has ever lived. The Wager in the Book of Job called into question the whole human experiment.”*

Every moment offers you a choice to make...does it really matter which way you go? Hummmm...it’s apparent that it is!

Take care with love, especially His! Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
