Hate the Title!

“And He said to them, ‘Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, IF you have the faith as a mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, ‘move from here to there,’ and it shall move; and nothing shall be impossible to you.’” Matthew 17:20-21

“Again I say to you, that if two of you AGREE on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together IN My name, there I am in their midst.’” Matthew 18:18-20

“Some Christians would reject the phrase “disappointment with God’ out of hand. Such a notion is all wrong, they say. Jesus promised that faith the size of a grain of mustard seed can move mountains; that anything can happen if two or three gather together in prayer. The Christian life is a life of victory and triumph. God wants us happy, healthy, and prosperous, and any other state simply indicates a lack of faith.”*

A friend gave me a copy of “Disappointment” and loved it, but I hated the title and put it on my shelf for a couple of years, then found it again and once I read it, created a new Bible study around it because of its power to pull anyone back to His Word in new ways. In the quote above are two amazing promises to seize, but there is a condition in both: to pray in agreement with those who believe God’s will is more important than their own; and that having just a little faith first is necessary for our walk with Him, because God provides enough, if we will only trust Him.

Take care to understand His Word. Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
