Strange Fear

“It is well with the man who is gracious and lends; he will maintain his cause in judgment. For he will never be shaken; the righteous will be remembered forever. He will not fear evil tidings; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is upheld, he will not fear, until he looks with satisfaction on his adversaries. He has given freely to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be exalted in honour.” Psalm 112:5-9

We'd all love to live without fear. So many things to fear in our world today and constant reminders through so many ways of just how vulnerable and unsafe life is. The fear of God is a strange thing. When we fear God we respect and reverence Him as the Almighty and trustworthy Lord. We don’t quake and want to hide. We realize we MUST trust Him. And when we trust God completely to take care of us, our fears (even of death) lessen, because we KNOW He is able and enjoys taking care of us..

Stay near God's Word. Take care. Your servant & friend in Christ, Darlene

PS: Now that the holidays are over, we return to the Psalms series. Please pray for all those who spend most of the year almost forgotten by others and are overwhelmed with “general” love during this time. They are now feeling the isolation harder.
