Summary and What God wants From Us
By The Bible Says What (3 min 45 sec)
“Anxiety in a man’s heart weights it down, but a good word makes it glad. The righteous is a guide to his neighbour, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.
"A lazy man does not roast his prey, but the
precious possession of a man is diligence.
In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no
death." Proverbs 12:25-28
Assignment
1. Set
aside an hour and find a place where you will not be interrupted.
2. Bring
your Bible, notebook, something to write with and a refreshment.
3. Quiet
your heart and pray that God will provide you with new insights through this assignment
for yourself and for those around you.
4. Open
your Bible to Proverbs 12.
5. Open
your notebook and date a fresh page, then draw a line down the middle of the
page (depending on how much you write, this may take more than one page). At the top of one column write ‘Upright’ and
the other ‘Wicked’. (example below)
6. Go
through each verse and designate which is referring to ‘the Upright’ and which
is ‘the Wicked’.
NOTE: You can
either write out the bits that are appropriate under the headings in your
notebook. If a verse seems to address
both ‘the Wicked’ and ‘the Upright’ you can use the designation of ‘a’ and ‘b’. Example:
Verse 1. Verse 1a is for the upright,
verse 1b is for the wicked.
7. Once
you have worked through all 28 verses, take time to read through each list and
pray and thank God for the new way to see the stark contrast between the
upright and the wicked.
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still
prays for you daily)
