By Scott Wesley Brown – Topic (5 min 11 sec)
“But Moses said to the people, ‘Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord
which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen
today, you will never see them again forever.
The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent.’” Exodus 14:13-14
I suppose it is not a good idea to admit to being impatient,
but…well, I am. Sometimes my prayers
seem to fly to heaven and yet there is no action where I am. Prayer is, of course, simple and yet
complicated because praying is fraught with impatience and with shaky
trust.
Oh, to be in that multitude who heard the promise of God
that Moses shared with them. The
condition was that they stand by and not fear, and if they did, they would see something
amazing right away and right in their sight.
Prayer would be so much easier, in my opinion, if only we
saw such instant results. Yet, God
delays because He is all wise and all knowing and most of all because He is all
loving. He always knows what is best for
us and what will bring Him glory.
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still
prays for you daily)
