Summary and What God Wants From Us
By The Bible Says What?! (4 mins 51 sec)
[God speaking] “’I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of you, and kings will come forth from you. I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.
"'I will give you and your descendants after
you, the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting
possession; and I will be their God.’” Genesis 17:6-8
To remind you Abraham was now 99 years old. He had only fathered one son when he was 86. It would have taken Abraham a lot of self-control
and patience with God to even listen to this promise again.
And yet, today descendants from Abraham roam the world. Nations have arisen from his sons and blessed
our world with their many gifts. When
Jesus died, this everlasting covenant took on new meaning. Today, those who have entrusted their lives
to the saving grace of the Lord Jesus have been adopted into this covenant.
Take care with love, especially His, Darlene (who still prays
for you daily)
