RESPONSIBILITY OF FOLLOWSHIP

“’Hear this, O priests!  Give heed, O house of Israel!  Listen, O house of the king!  For the judgment applies to you, for you have been a snare at Mizpah and a net spread out on Tabor.

“’The revolters have gone deep in depravity, but I will chastise all of them.  I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from Me; for now, O Ephraim, you have played the harlot, Israel has defiled itself.  Their deeds will not allow them to return to their God.

“For a spirit of harlotry is within them, and they do not know the Lord.  Moreover, the pride of Israel testifies against him, and Israel and Ephraim stumble in their iniquity; Judah also has stumbled with them.

“’They will go with their flocks and herds to seek the Lord, but they will not find Him; He has withdrawn from them.  They have dealt treacherously against the Lord, for they have born illegitimate children.  Now the new moon will devour [consume] them with their land.” Hosea 5:7-12

When your day-to-day and religious leaders have forgotten the way, following them will lead you to destruction.  Stay alert to the direction your leaders are taking – away from or toward the Truth of Scripture.  You will be held responsible for your actions even when your leaders are leading you to ‘Mizpa or Tabor’ (places of false worship and turning away from the Lord).  We must not follow them!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who still prays for you each morning.  Darlene

PS:  Please pray for this ministry.  This is the 20th year of endeavouring to serve others in His name to offer a smattering of Scripture daily.  Find my statement of faith by clicking (or cut and paste this link into your Web browser):  https://especiallyhislove.blogspot.com   You can find the WeakDay Devotion online by doing a Google search for “WeakDay Devotion”  (Also, there is an android “Google Blogger” app you can download to read them on your phone.)
