Of Course I Am Humble

"If therefore there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.

"Do nothing from selfish or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interest of others."  Philippians 2:1-4

It was Charles Handy who first noted how "if you put a frog in water and slowly heat it, the frog will eventually let itself be boiled to death.  We, too, will not survive if we don't respond to the radical way in which the world is changing."[1]

Please take a moment right now and over the weekend review these versed.  Consider just what God intended for His people to be like in a world so lost, lonely and stunned by life and death!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

  • ·        UPDATE - New Zealand - Many have been trapped by the earthquake and are now being evacuated.  Two confirmed dead in this 7.5 magnitude quake with over 860 aftershocks, one of which was a 6.1 magnitude.  We have many in the Family there, please pray they are safe and that they realise God's peace through this difficult time.
  • ·        Me - should hear something this week on the 5-6 week project but continuing to look.  May have to take something that will require me here through the end of the year so trip home may be delayed and will probably lose the tickets.  I long to see you face-to-face again someday.
