Only One Source for Water + ASSIGNMENT

If you have not seen this film, please invest time
and the nominal amount to watch it.
It is available on YouTube and will be very helpful for you
as you complete your ASSIGNMENT from
the devotion challenge for today!

"And He who sits on the throne said, 'Behold, I am making all things new.'  And He said, 'Write, for these words are faithful and true.'  And He said to me, 'It is done.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.  I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.

"'He who overcomes shall inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son.  But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murders and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.'"  Revelation 21:5-8

"Jesus answered and said to her, 'Everyone who drinks of the water shall thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life." John 4:13-14

I found myself weeping today as I searched news sites for critical issues to add to the prayer list and was in despair at what is happening in our world.

We can look at the news with the perspective to better identify signs that the "End" is near, but what does it matter because we are not able to know.  What we CAN do seeing the deterioration of our world and the compromise of the Church is take more time to look at the person near us and encourage them.

Revelation reminds us there is a ticking clock in our individual lives and for the world itself.  While we are here and our clock still has time on it, we have the privilege of sharing the Truth with others.  But it is our choice.

ASSIGNMENT:  Take a moment right now to write down the name of just ONE person who you will begin to pray for in a resolute and focused way.  Ask the Lord to open their hearts to hearing more about the Gospel.  Become a life-giving well of water springing up to eternal life in another!

NEED PRAYER UPDATES PLEASE!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene

URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

  • ·        Paul - has reached the breaking point and asked for my advice.  I listened and comforted him while praying Isaiah 55:11 and Psalm 141:3.  After sharing (God has given me ample experiences in feeling afraid in recent times with no work), I encouraged him.  I also took a big chance to recommend he read the story of Gideon as it has many life lessons he may benefit from.  And he DID!  Please join me in praying his heart melts enough for the Truth to touch him where it hurts.  He knows the little part-time relief role, which doesn't begin till the end of July will be too little and too late.  He has two interviews for full-time roles next week.  Thank you for praying for him.  He has not had work since 2012!!
  • ·        United States of America -- Please pray for families and friends of those who have recently lost their lives in various tragic ways.  Pray for those still recovering, law enforcement agencies and individuals trying to sort through everything and prevent further carnage.  Pray for all news reporters and their companies to be patient and honourable in their reporting.

NEW PRAYER REQUESTS

  • ·        Doug McIntosh - in each of our lives we can point to spiritual "parents and unique encouragers".  For me there are many.  One key contributor to my love of Bible study is Doug, my pastor.  He was diagnosed 16 Feb 2014 with multiple myelomas.  I just found out unexpectantly.  What a great man of God he is!  Please pray for him, his family and the church he has worked so faithfully in, Cornerstone in Lilburn Georgia.
  • ·        Adrian -is feeling a bit stronger and went to his brother's for dinner yesterday.  His regular monthly cancer treatment moved to next week.  The Leukaemia Foundation person has disappeared.  Pray for his companion dog, Toby, to remain healthy.  He is very important to Adrian's mental well-being and a clear gift from the Lord during this time of loneliness.
  • ·        Jo and Steve - Please pray their individual ministries in NZ and reconciliation with one of Jo's sisters.

PRAYERS SPECIFICALLY FOR SALVATION
