Hard Word of Fire and Brimstone

"And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged every one of them according to their deeds.  And death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire.  This is the second death, the lake of fire.  And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."  Revelation 20:13-15

When most die, they are buried.  Those who are lost at sea (including those who drowned during Noah's time) or are cremated (by choice or circumstance) are here brought together to stand before the judgment throne.

(Remember this judgment is for the lost, not those relying on Jesus Christ for their rescue from eternal damnation who do not stand here with the others.)

Again their every thought, word and action are carefully reviewed and their name is searched for in the Book of Life.  But their names will be missing from the Book of Life because of their refusal, resistance or inertia to believe the Truth.

"But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal  will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, 'Death is swallowed up in victory.  O death, where is your victory?  O Death, where is your sting?'

"The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord." I Corinthians 15:54-58

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene

URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS

  • ·        United States of America - 49 individuals died, 53 hospitalised.  Please pray for the families of those senselessly slain and wounded, law enforcement agencies and individuals trying to sort through everything and prevent further carnage.  Pray for all news reporters and their companies to be patient and honourable in their reporting.

NEW PRAYER REQUESTS

  • ·        Doug McIntosh - in each of our lives we can point to spiritual "parents and unique encouragers".  For me there are many.  One key contributor to my love of Bible study is Doug, my pastor.  He was diagnosed 16 Feb 2014 with multiple myelomas.  I just found out unexpectantly.  What a great man of God he is!  Please pray for him, his family and the church he has worked so faithfully in, Cornerstone in Lilburn Georgia.
  • ·        Adrian -will be attending his father's funeral today. His regular monthly treatment moved to next week.  The Leukaemia Foundation person has disappeared.  Adrian is deteriorating and is rarely getting up from his bed.  For those of you who have a special burden for him, thank you.  His pain and fatigue are sometimes so great.  Pray for his companion dog, Toby, to remain healthy.  He is very important to Adrian's mental well-being and a clear gift from the Lord during this time of loneliness.
  • ·        Jo and Steve - Please pray their individual ministries in NZ and reconciliation with one of Jo's sisters.
