A Reminder

"'Are not five sparrows sold for two cents?  And yet not one of them is forgotten before God.  Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered.  Do not fear;  you are of more value than many sparrows.'" Luke 12:6-7

"My brethren, do not hold your faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ with an attitude of personal favouritism.  For if a man comes into your assembly with a gold ring and dressed in fine clothes, and there also comes in a poor man in dirty clothes,

"and you pay special attention to the one who is wearing the fine clothes, and say, 'You sit here in a good place.'  and you say to the poor man, 'You stand over there, or sit down by my footstool.' have you not made distinctions among yourselves, and become judges with evil motives?

"Listen, my beloved brethren;:  did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? James 2:1-5

"Want to love others as God has loved you?  Come thirsty.  Drink deeply or God's love for you, and ask Him to fill your heart with a love worth giving.  A love that will enable you to put others before yourself. -- What's more important to you? -- Do you have the attitude of Jesus?  Do you consider others more important than yourself?"*

We return now to look through the pages of Max Lucado's book, "A Love Worth Giving" and find the title inspiration in these passages.  Making it personal...when we consider where we were when Jesus saved us from our sin...it helps us feel His love so faithful for so long.

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, who prays for you each morning, Darlene
