"But
the Pharisees went out, and counselled together against Him, as to how they
might destroy Him. But Jesus aware of
this, withdrew from there.
"And
many followed Him, and He healed them all, and warned them not to make Him
known, in order that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, might be
fulfilled, saying, 'Behold, My Servant whom I have chosen; My Beloved in whom
My soul is well pleased; I will put My
Spirit upon Him, and He shall proclaim justice to the gentiles.
"He
will not quarrel, nor cry out, nor will anyone hear His voice in the
streets. A battered reed He will not
break off, and a smouldering wick He will not put out, until He leads justice
to victory, and in His name the gentiles will hope.'"
Matthew 12:14-21
"For
we know Him who said, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay.' And again, 'The Lord will judge His
people.' It is a terrifying thing to
fall into the hands of the living God." Hebrews 10: 30-31
"Above all, we need to be very sensitive about instructing
someone else in the sovereignty of God and encouraging that person to trust God
when he or she is in the midst of adversity or pain. It is much easier to trust in the sovereignty
of God when it is the other person who is hurting. We need to be like Jesus. Let us not be guilty of breaking a bruised
reed (a heavy heart) by insensitive treatment of the heavy doctrine of the
sovereignty of God."*
When you know Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour...when you
have entrusted your life into His hands it is because, one day you realise no
one will EVER love you more ... and this Jesus made the choice to die rather
than to live without you...it is by His love and His chosen sacrifice that you
live today and for eternity. And even if
you are tired and feeling afraid or lost or confused...that smouldering wick
within you will NEVER go out. Jesus is
always with you...ALWAYS!
Take care with love, especially His! Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
