"Now
He who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave to us the Spirit as a
pledge. Therefore, being away of good
courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from
the Lord -- for we walk by faith, not by sight -- we are of good courage," II
Corinthians 5:5-8a
"'For
I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans for welfare
and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray
to Me, and I will listen to you. And you
will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
"'And
I will be found by you,' declares the Lord, 'and I will restore your fortunes
and will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have
driven you,' declares the Lord, 'and I will bring you back to the place from
where I sent you into exile.'" Jeremiah 29:11--14
"..they express a principle about God, a principle affirmed
everywhere throughout the Bible: God has
a pan for you. Because He has a plan for
you, and because no one can thwart that plan, you too can have hope and
courage. You, too, can trust God."*
A lady named Betty Oberon was one of my early disciplers, and she
had a big poster stuck onto the wall of my room that said: "God don't make no junk!" And although the grammar was poor, the
message was powerful. When I wonder if
He is paying attention to what is happening around me, I always seem to
remember that silly poster, that said so much to me. Perhaps it will bless you too.
Take care with love, especially His! Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
