Blindness to Him

"And God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant in the earth, and to keep you alive by a great deliverance.  Now, therefore it was not you who sent me here, but God, and He has made me a father to Pharaoh and lord of all his household and ruler over all the land of Egypt." Genesis 45:7-8

"For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our, that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

"Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus; that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 15:4-6

"Again it is difficult for us to appreciate the reality of God sovereignly doing as He pleases in our lives, because we do not SEE God doing anything.  Instead we see ourselves or other people acting and events occurring, and we evaluate those actions and events according to our preferences and plans.

"We see ourselves influencing or perhaps even controlling or being controlled by actions of other people, but we do not see God at work.  But over all the actions and events of our lives, God is in control doing as He pleases -- not apart from those events, or in spite of them, but THROUGH them."*

Sometimes when we look back, we can more easily recognise the miracles the Lord manages -- so take today and remember when you thought you couldn't make it and yet...He managed a way for you to!

Take care with love, especially His!  Your servant and friend in Christ, Darlene
